BLSAC President

I am a goal oriented and driven second year law student. I am I am a goal oriented and driven second year law student. I am eager to learn and open to challenges. I am not afraid of stepping out of my comfort zone and thrive for excellence in everything that I do.

As part of my undergraduate studies, I went on exchange in Belgium where I took the opportunity to be the assistant researcher of the department's President. In addition,I also successfully completed an internship at the Department of Justice in the division of Research and Statistics.

In my first year in law school, I was very involved in McGill’s chapter of the Black Law Students'​ Association as VP communications and received the National Member of the Year Award. I further became the associations'​ Vice-President Quebec and Conference Chair. Recentely, at the national general elections, my law peers elected me their incoming president 2015-16.

Since first year, I was also involved with the Criminal Law Clinic Innocence McGill. My work ethics and commitment to excellence were rewarded as am I now the incoming director of the Clinic. 

In second year, I was involved as an editor with McGill's International Journal of Sustainable Development Law and Policy. I am now its summer office manager and starting the fall term will occupy the credited position of Managing Editor.
