CABL Membership Benefits and Services

Membership in CABL includes the following wide range of benefits and services:

  • Dynamic and informative CPD seminars taught by leading members of the profession on diverse areas of practice at discounted rates or free;
  • The ability to advocate on issues of importance to Black lawyers, such as the current articling crisis;
  • Regular social events to allow for networking with fellow lawyers, judges and other legal professionals;
  • Access to the members only section of the CABL website including job postings; the ability to list your practice on the Member Referral Board which is accessed by persons seeking legal services; and the right to post your resume in our articling registry;
  • A mentoring program for those members seeking to become mentors and those seeking mentors;
  • The opportunity to develop leadership skills and build relationships with other black lawyers, the legal community and the community at large, by serving on the CABL Board;
  • Public speaking opportunities; and
  • The opportunity to experience the good fellowship and support of a broader group of Black lawyers.
