We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Black Opportunity Fund (BOF) for selecting the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers (CABL) as one of the winners of its first-ever Criminal Justice granting stream for Canadian Black-led community organizations.
The $25,000 grant acknowledges CABL’s Advocacy Committee and Criminal Justice Reform Subcommittee’s unwavering efforts in promoting diversity, equity, and justice for Black Canadians through interventions, reports, and legislative influence, thus creating positive social change in the community.
BOF firmly believes in the power of Arts and Culture, as well as Criminal Justice, to effect meaningful change and drive social progress. At the heart of its grant program is the goal to promote and support impactful initiatives in these fields within Black communities across Canada. Through its funding programs, BOF is able to elevate Black-led, Black-serving, and Black-focused non-profit and for-profit organizations and celebrate our communities.
We would like to take this opportunity to extend our appreciation to TD’s corporate citizenship platform, TD Ready Commitment, and The Law Foundation of Ontario for their generous support. Additionally, we wish to congratulate all the deserving recipients of BOF’s grants program! Together, we are shaping a brighter future for Black communities in Canada.
