Background
Ronke graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2019 as the Gold Medalist, for achieving the highest cumulative academic standing in her graduating class. She later completed a legal master’s degree (BCL) at the University of Oxford in 2021. While at the University of Oxford, Ronke was part of a group of students who came together to found the Oxford Law Black Alumni (OLBA) Network in 2020. The OLBA Network is a professional network that helps current Oxford law students connect with alumni all over the world.
Ronke is an associate at Torys LLP (Toronto), where she has a broad litigation practice, with a focus on complex commercial disputes, investigations, and public and administrative law. She represents and provides advice to a diverse range of clients, including technology and telecommunications companies, financial institutions, crown agencies and Indigenous communities. She previously served as Commission Counsel to the Mass casualty Commission, a federal/provincial public inquiry investigating the April 2020 mass casualty event that occurred in Nova Scotia.
Ronke is a member of the Ontario Bar Association Council, representing the Toronto region. Outside of work, Ronke enjoys reading, community theater and afternoon tea with friends.
