Esi Codjoe is an Vice Chair with the Human Rights Tribunal. Her previous roles include a position as Counsel Employee/Labour Relations at McMaster University. Prior to McMaster, she litigated Labour cases as in-house Counsel and Specialist in Interest Arbitrations for the Ontario Nurses’ Association. She is a Part-time Professor at Ryerson University, where she teaches Labour and Employment Law, and Business Law. Esi previously taught Labour Relations part-time at George Brown College.

She volunteers as a member of the OBA’s Council and its Governance Committee. Esi has held a number of volunteer positions in the OBA including, the JUST Editorial Board, section executive member of the Ontario Bar Association (OBA) Labour and Employment Law Section and its programming committee. From 2009-2013 she was an executive member of, and former newsletter editor for, the Canadian Bar Association Labour and Employment Law Section
