Tiana Knight

Social Chair / Chair of the Young Lawyer Division

Background

Tiana Knight is a labour lawyer with one of Canada’s largest unions. Her practice focuses on all aspects of labour law at both the federal and provincial levels. Much of her practice encompasses the areas of human rights, progressive discipline and terminations, and she enjoys representing and advocating for employees in both the public and private sectors with their workplace issues. Her fulfilling and dynamic practice has led her to appear before experienced adjudicators of the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations and Employment Board and before private arbitrators in complex termination and human rights cases. Prior to practicing labour law in-house, Tiana worked in private practice focusing on employment law and workplace investigations.

During her time at Windsor Law, Tiana was Valedictorian of her law school graduating class and served as the National President of BLSA Canada. Tiana is currently a member of the Osgoode Society’s Oral History Committee, an organization focused on preserving the legal history of Ontario’s most esteemed legal professionals. Tiana is passionate about mentorship, professional development and networking opportunities for law students and young lawyers, and is a firm believer that to whom much is given, much is expected.
