Tyna Mason

Background

Tyna Mason is Legal Counsel with the BC Ministry of Attorney General and practices primarily in the areas of constitutional and administrative law. Called to the BC Bar in 1995, she holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia, a Bachelor of Laws from Dalhousie University, and a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School.  Tyna has worked as a civil litigator for government and in private practice, as a crown prosecutor, and as in-house counsel for an administrative tribunal.  She has appeared as counsel at all levels of court in British Columbia and at the Supreme Court of Canada. Tyna enjoys mentoring law students and newer lawyers. She also currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Legal Services Branch’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
