Background

Wudassie Tamrat obtained her law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2018. During her studies, she served as a senior editor of the Osgoode Hall Law Journal and worked in the Osgoode Mediation Clinic, where she gained valuable experience in alternative dispute resolution. Prior to attending law school, Wudassie earned her BA (Honours) in Political Studies and Global Development Studies from Queen’s University, where she also served as the Managing Editor for Politicus Journal, an undergraduate peer-reviewed publication.

After being called to the Ontario bar in 2019, Wudassie joined Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office, practicing as an Associate in the Advocacy Group. Her current practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation, medical defence, international trade law, privacy, and defamation.

Outside of law, Wudassie enjoys playing tennis and volleyball, and travels as much as possible with her family.

Wudassie is excited and eager to be involved in CABL, and looks forward to serving her community to the best of her ability.
